Forthcoming Workshops

A practice in mindfulness using paint

These workshops offer you the space and opportunity to express yourself creatively free from artistic expectations, standards and judgements. They are not about artistic instruction, technical skills, improvement or product but about self-awareness, creative self-expression and process. Experience mindful painting supported by mindfulness-style meditation and embark on a journey of creative self-discovery alongside other like-minded creatives.

The workshops begin with an introduction and feature meditation, group painting and solo painting. Silence is a key element of the workshop and the group and solo painting activities are carried out in silence. There is no scheduled break but should you wish to take a break at any point whilst solo painting, you may do so and complimentary herbal teas are available for your refreshment. You are also invited to bring a small healthy(ish) snack to share with the group.

Introductory workshop: £30

I don’t think I fully understood how much it was about personal creativity…the art is just for you; no feedback is encouraged or even allowed. It really is about ‘creative play’ – the type of thing you used to do as a child, allowing you to be very ‘free’ with what you create. Karen B
