Helen has taught since 1989 working in adult, further and higher education in Dorset and Hampshire in subjects including drawing, painting, graphic design, illustration, spatial design and interior architecture.
She works with most drawing and painting media, printmaking and stitched textiles. After graduating in graphic design and illustration, Helen gained her Masters Degree in Art, Design and Media from the University of Portsmouth and is a fully qualified teacher in post compulsory education and has been a product demonstrator for Winsor & Newton, Daler Rowney and Rexel Derwent
Her work has been exhibited in open exhibitions including:
- Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours - The Mall Galleries, London
- Britain's Painters - The Westminster Galleries, London
- Open Dialogue (Textiles) - Forest Arts, New Milton, Hampshire
- Towards the Millennium - Artsway, Sway, Hampshire
Helen is an Ambassador for Naomi House & Jacksplace Hospices for Children & Young Adults and has been involved with the Charity since 1997 and is currently chair of the New Forest Fundraising Committee. She is also on the organising committee for the annual Lymington Arts Festival.
