Teresa Rogers MA Ed
After a long career as a teacher and Headteacher I took up working full time as an artist in 2012 and I paint nearly every day.
I have been very lucky to win several awards for my work but a real highlight during the past few years was winning the first prize in the New Forest Open Art exhibition in 2016. This led to articles in local papers and magazines and then in 2017 I was the featured artist in Hampshire Life.
For a few years I worked out of a studio in Wilton near Salisbury, where I also had a small gallery but now work from home in a studio in the garden where I run regular workshops. I work in all mediums and also enjoy printing, particularly monoprints, linocuts and collagraphs. I enjoy experimenting with different techniques and subject matter and like to make a statement with colour and texture.
I live on the edge of the New Forest which is a rich source of inspiration for landscapes and wildlife but I also draw inspiration from holidays in the West Country and always have my sketchbook with me. I am a member of local art groups and also give talks and demonstrations for local art societies.
I exhibit across the south and also take part in Hampshire Open Studios when my studio and gallery is open to the public.
