About the artist:

Jules Carpenter

Jules makes wheel thrown and hand built pottery - functional tableware and one-off studio pieces. Working predominately with stoneware clay and mid-range glazes.

Having found clay later in life she has since made up for lost time, tenaciously developing her clay crafts skills and opening a flow of creative artistic passion. Loving making pots to be handled and used.

Jules has a studio and gallery at her home in Downton, near Milford-on-Sea, which nestles on the Hampshire coast at the edge of the New Forest. Coastal living, seascape hues and the clifftop skyline certainly have an inspirational effect on the overall look of Jules’ work, whilst she is loving that handmade feel.
