John Ruskin Prize

John Ruskin Prize is organised by the fine people at The Big Draw and Guild of St. George. This year coincides with the bicentenary of Ruskin’s birth and the theme for 2019’s prize is: Agent’s Of Change – an opportunity for creatives to “consider their role as catalysts of change, critics, social and political commentators and material innovators”. The prize is open to makers and craftspeople as well as fine artists over 18 and working in the UK. The top prize winner receives £3000, 2nd prize £1000 and a Student Prize of £1000. 25 finalists will be selected to exhibit at The Holden Gallery at Manchester School of Art where the three main winners will be announced at a private view on 11th July. Entry fees are 1 artwork: £12 for 1 artwork, £15 for 2 artworks and £20 for 3 artworks (with reduced rates for students).
