Artisans by the River
Artisans by The River is back this year, on the banks of the Lymington River.
The 4th June sees the grand opening of the six week artisans’ festval at Bath Road Recreation Ground, SO41 3RU. The event is open every Sunday from 11am ‐ 5pm, from 4th June to 9th July.
Don’t miss Blue Tides Band or the Rain or Shine Theatre producton of Twelfth Night.
Mayor, Cllr Barry Dunning and Deputy Mayor Cllr Anne Corbridge will be there to open the events.
There will be a very festive spirit to enjoy art in all its forms ‐ stalls – artisans, crafts, painters and live entertainment – musicians and drama, interactive therapy with painters demonstrating their techniques, while some musicians might be helping
youngsters understand how certain instruments work and why, and how you can learn the instrument.
Picnics in the park, youngsters throwing the ball for their pet dogs, the children’s playground and some children’s entertainment, as well as different food stalls to sample each week. Cycle down and bring your own picnic blanket and prepare for a day in the sunshine!
And to our delight, some care home residents will be enjoying the therapy of a lazy Sunday afternoon with us.
Each week is different :‐ there will be a variety of musical entertainment and
artisans’ stalls, interesting and delightful food stalls, as well as different fun children’s entertainment each week. The children’s playground and lovely park create the perfect backdrop to this fabulous festival.
Every Sunday from 11am ‐ 5pm
