Transition

My oil paintings emerge spontaneously through an exploration of colour, energy and form on the canvas itself. The evolution of the painting for me is like a journey of discovery which takes many twists and turns along the way.

Catch of the Day

I am a mainly self taught artist, and cover a range of subjects from animal portraits, landscapes, seascapes and wildlife in various mediums.

Nicknamed ‘The Skeeters’ by most of their fans, The Bow-Legged Skeeter are a 5 piece band from the South Coast with the classic Bluegrass line-up of Banjo, Fiddle, Guitar, Mandolin and String Bass.

Just Fly

I am fascinated by the way in which ink and watercolour react with paper. Their exciting and sometimes frustrating inconsistencies spur you into action. The medium is in charge and I watch and work with it.

I began painting using watercolour but almost always use artist's acrylic, or sometimes water based oil.
