Lymington Arts Group
The Lymington Arts Group promotes the enjoyment and appreciation of visual arts and crafts by providing meetings, workshops and outings. We hold bi-annual exhibitions of members works, one in Lymington in the Spring and a Summer one on Milford village green in August.
Meetings take place at Lymington Centre, New Street, SO41 9BQ, In the Robert Hole room on the 2nd Friday of the month. The sessions are from 2.30pm till 4.30pm with a short break for refreshments. Visitors are welcome for a small fee of £3.50.
In 1979 Alison Bolton was holding an evening class and whilst chatting to Cliff Allison, realised there was a need for an evening group of some sort where people could get together to learn more about art, view each others work and be sociable, so Lymington Arts Group was formed. The primary objectives were that there would be no required standard, all would be welcome and crafts also to be included.
40 Years on, The Lymington Art Group now has a membership of around 90. New members are always welcome, professional, amateur or those just interested art.
Members of the Group enjoy the following:-
- Monthly meetings

- Ten demonstrations with professional artists
- Paint Outs monthly during the Summer months
